Britt-Marie Seex
Britt-Marie Seex, Executive Chairman Britt-Marie and her husband started the well renowned Tamarind Restaurant in Mombasa in the 1970s, and that is the origin of the name of this company. Later, Britt-Marie founded Tamarind Translations in Stockholm, Sweden, a much appreciated translation agency by customers and linguists. The company grew into a business with a reputation for reliability and excellence. In 2009 she opened Tamarind Translations in Nairobi, Kenya, the premier language service provider (LSP) in East Africa. Britt-Marie is an experienced English–Swedish translator. She is still involved in the growth plans for the company, now called Tamarind Language Services, as a business advisor.
Theophan Marube
Theophan Marube, Managing Director Theo has been with Tamarind Language Services since the beginning in 2009. He has been in the translation business since the year 2000 and speaks French, English and Kiswahili. He holds a Masters in Translation, a degree in Linguistics, and PGD in Project Management. He interprets from French to English and is certified by the United Nations. During his free time, Theo is a volunteer in communication and leadership with Lions Club, and is currently involved in activities aimed at addressing the plight of teen moms in Kenya.  He loves travelling and playing the piano with his little son, Jayden.
Aileen G Musyoka

Aileen G. Musyoka, Operations Manager
Aileen has a total of 14 years’ experience in Project Management and Office administration. She joined Tamarind Language Services in December 2010 and is highly experienced in project planning, project execution, team coordination, supplier mobilization and management. She holds qualifications in management and IT and has a passion for working with teams in diverse projects. In her free time, Aileen likes travelling, farming and cooking.

Nancy Nyaga

Nancy Nyaga, Accountant
Nancy is an analytical and accomplished accounting professional who joined Tamarind Language Services in 2012. An excellent team player, she has over 12 years’ experience in the field of accounting and ensures that all our financial procedures are efficient and compliant to international accounting standards.  She holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance Option) and is a registered member of the Institute of Chartered Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). When she is not crunching numbers, Nancy enjoys travelling visiting the elderly, and when indoors, sewing and knitting with her children.

Laban Mahindu

Laban Mahindu, Project Manager
Laban is a motivated, personable business professional with years of experience as a project manager and technology consultant. He is one of our able Project Managers in charge of Translation and Localization. He is well-versed in project management methodologies, team building, communication, and technical implementations of translation and interpretation projects. Laban holds a degree in French and Corporate Communications from Moi University. Outside work, he prefers to spend time with his family, farming and engaging in wellness activities.

Mitchelle Akumu

Mitchelle Akumu, Sales Executive
Mitchelle is our latest recruit whom we welcome to our team. She is a jovial and highly motivated sales professional. With four years in sales, marketing and customer care with leading corporates in banking and real estate, she has mastered the art of closing the deal. Mitchelle holds a degree in Communications and Public Relations from the University of Nairobi. When not looking for business, Mitchelle can be found at the Kenya National Theatre where she is an accomplished actress and salsa instructor. She recently represented Kenya at the World International Cultural Exchange Program in Osaka, Japan.
