Tamarind Translations at the Conference on Higher Agricultural Education in Africa

Tamarind Translations is trusted by customers from across East Africa. In July, we worked with Makerere University of Uganda, at a three-day partners meeting, titled Strengthening Higher Agricultural Education for Agri-Food Transformation in Africa.

The event was co-hosted by the RUFORUM and the Ministry of Education of Kenya, supported by the World Bank and sponsored by the Food & Business Knowledge Platform – an initiative by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The meeting brought together representatives of the seven countries of East Africa, experts in higher education and agriculture, and key development partners with an interest in tertiary agricultural education and strengthening high level skills for sustainable agri-food systems transformation in Africa.  This is in line with the second Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) of the UN: Zero Hunger.

We provided simultaneous French – English simultaneous interpretation and interpretation equipment at this event. Our interpreters are familiar with the technical terms of the #SDG agenda having served several meetings on this topic.  The client had contacted us at short notice but and we able to hack it, much to their delight!
