For the past 10 years, Tamarind Language Services has supported Mikaoni Nursery School in Kilifi County on the Kenyan coast. During our visit to the school in March, we noticed that the whole school was in dire need of paint, outside and inside, and decided to do something about it.

During the April school holidays, Juma and his team of skilled local painters did the job and finished just in time so the teachers could welcome the children back to a freshly painted school.

Our team visited the school recently to check out the new look and to deliver toys and wall charts. Godfrey, the village elder, thanked our company for the support and told us that the teachers and pupils were delighted to study in clean and bright classrooms.
