The second Africa International Translation Conference was held in Arusha on 7th and 8th February 2020.  The conference is an annual event organized by the East Africa Interpreters and Translators Association. It is aimed at enhancing professional development of language professionals through learning and networking opportunities with major players within the language industry.

Among the topics discussed were: opportunities and challenges the profession faces, general trends in the translation and interpretation industry, the use of translation tools, and more. More than 15 countries were represented in the conference and Tamarind Language Services was one the teams from Kenya.
